Failure Analysis

Our failure analysis team includes academic and industry specialists with a selection of tools and the knowledge to perform structural and microstructural damage analysis on damaged industrial components (e.g. fractures, wear, corrosion, fatigue, creep). We will identify the types of damage, the causative offenders, and all the damage mechanisms, while providing the client with a well-documented and comprehensive report of our findings. We can also provide reports that identify compliance with construction and/or performance standards that will assist in avoiding failure in the future.
To be more specific, with the teams specialised capability to diagnose the mechanisms of damage (creep, fatigue and hot corrosion) we can provide engineers with realistic safe lifespan estimates for productivity purposes for high technology components, including life extension strategies. The team has completed in excess of 100 projects involving failure analysis up to now, so we are a verified knowledge-based resource in this area.
